PlaSec Unveils New Brand for its PACS Appliance Product Line

Company's newly branded PhysiLogical Access Control product portfolio delivers pioneering IT integration capability and unmistakable productivity & cost benefits

ISC West Show, Las Vegas, Nevada, March 23, 2010 - PlaSec today announced the availability of it's newly branded, PlaSec Classic Appliance, PlaSec Enterprise Appliance, and PlaSec Collaboration Platform Software Products.

The PlaSec Classic Appliance, which supports up to 32 readers, is a hardened Linux network appliance requiring only field hardware and application software to operate. All application software is accessed via industry standard web browsers such as Mozil a Firefox, Apple Safari, and Windows Explorer.

The PlaSec Enterprise Appliance, which supports up to 2,048 readers, extends the Classic capabilities to any conceivable local, regional, national or multi-national PACS deployment. The appliance offers unparalleled value with integration to IAM | SIEM IT Systems, improved business continuity via multi-site system replication capabilities, and resiliency through its grid computing design. The Enterprise Appliance application software is also accessed via the same previously listed industry standard web browsers.

Both the Classic and Enterprise Appliance support Mercury Security field hardware and the HID Global EdgeReader.

"By virtue of our approach", stated Terry Neely, PlaSec's President, "we simplify PACS for our customers. Since our architecture does not require a Windows operating system or relational database such as SQL Server or Oracle Server, our customers do not have the added costs and burdens of setting up and maintaining these high maintenance components, much less the headaches of dealing with all the viruses and patches that are inherent in those environments."

"What he have designed and developed is a next generation PACS system that delivers the performance and capabilities mandated by physical-security-enlightened, information technology leaders" added Terry, "That is why we call our solution PhysiLogical Access Control! Compared to other PACS alternatives when considering life-cycle costs, we believe you will find that the PlaSec solution delivers meaningful cost reductions and increased productivity that really makes sense!"
