Open Field Hardware

All RedCloud appliances – RedCloud Express, RedCloud Enterprise, and RedCloud Virtual - support open field hardware from leading manufacturers such as Mercury Security, allowing organizations to leverage investments in non-proprietary field hardware, with retrofit programs available for industry-standard door hardware and card readers, including contact/contactless smart card, proximity, magnetic stripe and barcode.

Door Controllers

RedCloud appliances distribute the policies and schedules for all identities and hardware configurations to the following, Mercury Security controllers to ensure security is enforced at the door - even if upstream network communications are interrupted.

EP1501 Single door, Power-over-Ethernet controller that includes the door/reader interface module all in one unit. The policies and schedules for all identities, and for all hardware configurations, from the databases in a RedCloud appliance are distributed into the controller so security is enforced at the door, even if the upstream network communications are interrupted. Supports all standard (Wiegand interface) reader technologies. Can be expanded to run 16 additional doors.

EP1502 Two door controller that includes the two door/reader interface module all in one unit. The policies and schedules for all identities, and for all hardware configurations, from the database in a RedCloud appliance are distributed into the controller so security is enforced at the door, even if the upstream communications are interrupted. Supports all standard (Wiegand interface) reader technologies. Can be expanded to run 62 additional doors.

EP2500 64 door controller. Enhanced capabilities to retain large database configurations from any RedCloud appliance. The policies and schedules for all identities, and for all hardware configurations, from the database in a RedCloud appliance are distributed into the controller so security is enforced at the door, even if the upstream network communications are interrupted. Supports all standard (Wiegand interface) reader technologies. Requires MR51e (single door, PoE interface) or MR-50 (single door, RS-485 interface) or MR-52 (dual door, RS-485 interface) door/reader interface modules at each door that runs from the EP2500 controller.

Door Interface Modules

MR51e A network connected, single-door, POE capable interface panel that provides an ideal integration solution when a network connection to the door is desired. Two reader ports support separate in/out readers of all types and technologies, including Wiegand, clock and data, magnetic stripe, keypads, LCD and biometrics. Auto-addressable and directly managed by the Mercury intelligent controllers, the MR51e is capable of elaborate processes and procedures without host intervention.

MR50 A low cost, high performance single card reader interface panel that is capable of all the I/O needed for controlling a single door. Each MR50 will interface one card reader, two general purpose input monitor points and two control relays to provide access control and security monitoring through a Mercury EP intelligent controller.

MR52 A low cost, high-performance device that provides all the I/O needed for controlling two doors with auxiliary point control and monitoring. Each unit will interface two card readers and provide out-board flexibility to connect a Mercury intelligent controller to an OEM system network. The MR52 will interface 2 card readers, 8 general purpose input monitor points and 6 control relays to a Mercury EP series intelligent controller.

Input/Output Modules

RedCloud supports Mercury Security Input/Output modules, multi-device interface panels for OEMs that provide the ability to control high concentrations of inputs or outputs.

MR16IN Mercury's Access Platform MR16in is a multi-device interface panel for OEMs providing the ability to monitor high concentrations of inputs together with a low requirement for output control. Based on the intelligent next-generation Mercury Access Foundation, the MR16in is capable of supporting 16 general purpose input circuits which can be individually set for normally-open or normally-closed operations and can be declared supervised and non-supervised. Individually configurable parameters can be set for sensitivity ranges, timing parameters and end-of-line resistance values.

MR16OUT The Access Platform - MR16out is a multi-device interface panel for OEMs and provides the ability to control high concentrations of outputs. It provides 16 general purpose outputs as Form C relay contacts. Based on the intelligent next-generation Mercury Access Foundation, the MR16out provides individually configurable parameters to be set for timing and for fail-safe vs. fail secure modes. The MR16out can be configured to control outboard devices and can be activated by the condition of selected system devices locally or regionally without host intervention.

HID EdgePlus E400 The HID EdgePlus E400 is a single door, IP access solution that manages up to 44,000 cardholders or credentials in complete and full-featured host systems. And an EdgePlus can be placed anywhere at the door to address all security requirements. A fully integrated processor right at the door that's an ideal solution for retrofits or new installations, EdgePlus requires less wiring and uses standard CAT-5 or 6 cabling for both data and power.

HID EdgeReader ER40 The HID EdgeReader ER40 is a unique iCLASS reader with an IP-enabled intelligent access control processor and host interface solution in a single unit. With the same footprint as a traditional reader, the EdgeReader ER40 provides a complete and full-featured access control hardware/software infrastructure and contactless smart card capability at "the edge" of the network for OEM software host systems. A perfect solution for new building installations, the EdgeReader ER40 requires less wiring and controls every access function at the door.
