Identity Management
RedCloud integrates access control policies by enabling IT to provision trusted identification for employees, contractors and visitors across both physical and logical assets.
By storing identity information in an LDAP compliant directory, RedCloud significantly reduces the complexity of planning, configuring, executing and maintaining the lifecycle of each identity as it is provisioned to the RedCloud PACS – especially when compared to a traditional PACS that use a Relational Database Management System.
With this unique, peer-to-peer directory structure, HR employee directories are synchronized to all RedCloud network appliances and door controllers in real time, without requiring organizations to maintain separate database servers at each facility or manually update and duplicate employee information on site.
Not only is it easier and less costly to manage the entire identity lifecycle, but through the integration of identity management and security event correlation, RedCloud integrated access control solutions enable IT to automatically report and react to physical and logical access control policy infractions. For example, an unauthorized door held open or forced open can signal computers in an adjacent room to suspend network access.
